Benchmark Construction Project Portfolio

Benchmark worked with Michael Charek, Architect, to provide design|build services for a large multi-tenant addition to an existing manufacturing plant. Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, the largest tenant, uses the new facility for distribution throughout southern and central Maine.

The facility includes loading docks for delivery and on-grade access allowing trucks to enter the building for maintenance and service.

For the addition, Benchmark chose the Murox® Building System with a specially-designed roof. Cantilevered structural steel roof trusses help to avoid snow drift loading on the existing structure. By adding steel pilings along the existing wall to support the roof, Benchmark minimized impact to the existing foundation during construction of the new addition.

Benchmark was responsible for obtaining all local approvals for Southpark.

Though Southpark's distribution facility was constructed throughout the difficult winter of 2000-01, it was completed on budget and on time. Both facilities are fully compliant with ADA requirements.
